This post will guide you in detail on how to practice with eJOY Epic to learn English effectively!

1. Overview

An overview of the lesson content, including the topic, key grammar points (1), and main vocabulary to be learned in the lesson (2).

2. Watch Video

Watch videos and look up new words. You can also save those words to your eJOY wordbook for further review.

3. Listen

There are 3 different exercises to practice listening skills:

  • Complete script (1): Listen to the video and choose the appropriate words to fill in the blanks.
  • Basic Quiz (2): Listen to the video and choose the correct answer for each question. The basic quiz consists of 4 simple questions.
  • Advanced Quiz (3): Listen to the video and choose the correct answer for each question. The advanced quiz includes 2 advanced questions.

Notice: In this section, you’ll be allowed to see the video script or you can watch the video again in case you can’t answer the given question.

4. Grammar

In this section, you’ll be able to learn one grammar pattern that requires more attention. This grammar pattern is clearly explained and you can see the examples from the video where this grammar pattern is used.

Step 1: Watch the example sentence from the video that features the grammar point

Step 2: Go to the Grammar section to read more about the grammar explanation

Step 3: Answer the questions to remember the grammar rules.

There are 4 different types of exercises to practice this grammar section:

  • Complete transcript: Choose the best answer to fill in the blank
  • Multiple choice: Choose the best answer for each question
  • Yes/ No: Decide if the given sentences are grammatically right or wrong
  • Matching: Match the items on the right to the suitable items on the left

5. Vocabulary

Overview: General information about the main vocabulary in the video – Click on each word to see detailed information, definitions, and save the word

  • Flashcard: Click on the card or press Space to flip and see the word definition
  • Fill in the blank: Listen and choose the vocabulary that fits the context of the sentence to fill in the blanks
  • Complete Sentence: Arrange the given words/ phrases to make sentences
  • Paragraph: Select an appropriate word/ phrase to fill in each blank
