When you encounter English signs, words, or documents on the go, and you don't know the meaning of a word, eJOY English 2 can help you in the following ways:
- Scan the text
- Look up, save, see the IPA, and hear the audio of the document you just scanned
1. How to scan documents with eJOY English 2 app
Step 1: On the Material screen, tap the Scan icon
Step 2:
- Select Take a photo if you want to take a picture of what you are seeing.
- Or, select From gallery if you already have a photo saved in your device.
Step 3: Take a picture of the text or image you want to translate.
Step 4: Then, eJOY will scan your photo and convert it to text so you can translate it right away.
2. Look up the word, save the word, see the IPA, and listen to the audio on the text you just scanned.
- You can look up a single word by tapping on it --> A translation pop-up will appear --> here, you can see the pronunciation, listen to audio, and view the vocabulary definition in Vietnamese and English.
- If you want to search for an entire paragraph of text, you can press the Extract to translate phrases button to extract the text.
- The app will extract the text into a clipboard. In clipboard mode, you can highlight the text you want to translate.
- In addition to translation, you also have other functions such as:

(2) Audio button to read the text
(3) Copy button
(4) Open button to show advanced pop-up
(5) Edit button to edit if you want
(6) Add button to save the passage to your wordbook
